A school event in the heart of the Alpilles

Young people set the tempo at Servanes: a grand school final under the sign of swing and passion

The fairways of Golf de Servanes, nestling in the heart of the Alpilles mountains, were given a breath of fresh air by an exceptional event: the grand final for schools, which brought together 51 young amateur golfers in a friendly, competitive and inspiring atmosphere.

This emblematic event perfectly embodies the mission of Golf de Servanes: to make the sport accessible, vibrant and firmly rooted in its local community. Thanks to a spectacular natural course and a dynamic educational programme led by Christophe Depuille, head instructor, the day was a magnificent showcase for the local commitment to junior golf.

An event that illustrates a growing momentum

For several years now, Golf de Servanes has been working to make golf an attractive sport from an early age. Far from being a cliché, this school final proves that young people are enthusiastically embracing the codes of a demanding but rewarding sport. The children, coached and trained throughout the year, were able to demonstrate the progress they have made in an exceptional setting: the 18 holes of Servanes, a veritable jewel at the foot of the white rocks of the Alpilles.

Education at the heart of the project

At 31, Christophe Depuille embodies the new generation of golf instructors. His approach is accessible, passionate and structured, enabling youngsters to make technical progress while developing a genuine golfing culture. The partnership with the Resonance Golf Collection group reinforces this dynamic with the introduction of regular introductory courses, tailored courses and now a structured golf school, on the way to obtaining the federal label.

‘We’re on the right track. This local dynamic is part of an overall project in which each child can develop, progress and, why not, one day represent the club in competition,’ explains Christophe Depuille.

A sustainable, structuring project

The ambition doesn’t stop there. The creation of a golf school marks an important step: it will enable young people to be trained over the long term, with the aim of obtaining a ‘green card’, the key to independent access to the courses.

Strong values are also promoted, such as respect, rigour, humility and team spirit, embodied by the instructors and reinforced by the involvement of volunteers and associative partners such as the Lions Club, the Kiwanis and the Institut Paoli-Calmettes.

A source of pride for the entire Alpilles region

Through this event, Golf de Servanes confirms its role as a driving force in the promotion of sport, education and community life. More than just a club, it has become a place where new generations can share their passion and develop concrete projects.

The success of this major school final is just the beginning. Because at Servanes, young people have well and truly taken over the club… and the swing is already promising!
