An unforgettable experience thanks to the partnership between the Porsche Center of Marseille and the Lion's Club of Marignane
Wednesday May 29, 2024 will remain etched in the memories of the children from the pediatric oncology department at La Timone, who were lucky enough to experience an extraordinary day at Golf de Servanes. Thanks to a partnership between the Porsche Center of Marseille, the Lion’s Club of Marignane and its dedicated president André Trapy, these young patients were able to enjoy an unforgettable experience.
The highlight of the day was a helicopter ride for the children, who were able to fly over the magnificent Alpilles countryside for around ten minutes. A real sense of freedom and wonder for these young patients, who were able to forget for a moment their difficult daily lives.
But the surprises didn’t stop there, as the children were also introduced to golf through fun and entertaining workshops. Supervised by golf professionals, they were able to try their hand at this demanding sport and discover new sensations.
Lunch at the Bergerie des Alpilles was a real treat for the little guests, who were pampered by restaurant owner Jean-Michel Alazard. The delicious hamburgers were a delight for all, and gave the children a chance to regain their strength and make the most of this extraordinary day.
The day ended with a moment of sharing and thanks, where the children, parents, partners and organizers were able to get together to exchange ideas and congratulate each other on this wonderful initiative. A day rich in emotion, solidarity and generosity, which will remain engraved in the memories of all those who took part.
