A festival combining music and cultural heritage in Mouriès

Mouriès 2024 Summer Festival returns from July 18 to August 08, 2024 for a series of must-see concerts. Every Tuesday, come and discover talented artists in a variety of musical styles, including baroque, jazz, Renaissance and world music.

Join us on Thursday 08 August at Golf de Servanes from 8.30pm, and immerse yourself in a jazz atmosphere in the company of the Dukes of Swing jazz quintet, who will enchant you with their talent and infectious energy.

And for even more conviviality, a bar will also be available on site, so you can make the most of this musical evening.

ATTENTION: In the event of bad weather, the concert will take place at the Mouriès cultural center.

Discover the Dukes of Swing jazz quintet

The DUKES OF SWING jazz quintet, based in the PACA region, plays the swing music of Duke Ellington, a fabulous composer and bandleader with a career spanning almost fifty years. The band covers the huge repertoire, focusing mainly on the 40s: Caravan, Take the A train, Cotton Tail, Sophisticated Lady, Perdido, Satin Doll…..

A repertoire that highlights Duke Ellington’s compositions and the playing of his soloists: Rex Stewart, Cootie Williams, Johnny Hodges, Tricky Sam Nanton, Harry Carney, Ben Webster, Barney Bigard and many others….
