A natural refuge for the golden oriole, the blue laurel and many others at the Servanes Golf Course

At Servanes Golf Club, a passion for golf is intertwined with a deep respect for nature. Much more than just a playing field, our course is a true haven of biodiversity where local flora and fauna flourish in tune with the seasons. This unique harmony is highlighted by the sensitive eye of Jean-Louis Pujol, a member of the League for the Protection of Birds (LPO) and a passionate nature photographer.

During his walks around the course, Jean-Louis captures with precision and delicacy the beauty of the species that live in this preserved environment. Among his favourite subjects, the golden oriole and the blue laurel, two emblematic birds, are revealed through his exceptional images. The golden oriole, famous for its bright plumage and melodious song, and the blue laurel, discreet and elegant, symbolise the ecological richness that is the pride of the Servanes Golf Club.

These photographs are much more than just images: they are a vibrant testimony to a strong commitment to preserving biodiversity. They remind us that every hole, every fairway, every grove is home to a fragile and precious ecosystem, where the balance between nature and sport must be respected and celebrated.

At Servanes, we are convinced that golf can be a positive force for the environment, a place where sport coexists in harmony with wildlife. Thanks to Jean-Louis Pujol’s keen eye and our ongoing commitment, we hope to inspire our members and visitors to take a fresh look at the natural world around us and to become active participants in its protection.
