2025: a year rich in action for biodiversity and sustainability

For several years now, Servanes Golf Club has been actively committed to ecological transition and sustainable development, placing biodiversity conservation and respect for natural resources at the heart of its priorities. In 2024, this approach was recognised with the Silver Label, a distinction awarded to sites that implement exemplary sustainable practices. In 2025, we stepped up our efforts to continue this progress and aim for the Gold Label.

Our actions are based on several fundamental pillars:

  • Water management

Water is a precious and strategic resource for golf. In 2025, the Servanes Golf Club continued its efforts to reduce consumption by using ultra-precise irrigation systems and innovative control technologies. These improvements have significantly reduced our water consumption while maintaining an optimal quality course.

  • Preserving biodiversity

Located in the heart of the unspoilt Alpilles countryside, the golf course is a haven for local flora and fauna. In 2025, we organised educational workshops with school children to teach them about local biodiversity and raise awareness among the younger generation about nature conservation. The Résonance en faveur de la Biodiversité competition also brought together players, partners and the community around this essential cause.

  • Controlled use of products

Our goal is to achieve zero pesticide use and to favour natural alternatives for course maintenance. This approach includes the use of biostimulants and biocontrol, ensuring healthy soil and ecosystems while providing the perfect playing field for golfers.

  • Turf farm and course maintenance

The Servanes course is based on a turf farm of exceptional quality, where Bermuda Grass cuttings are grown to regenerate the ground. This system ensures a uniform and robust turf while minimising environmental impact.

  • Events and awareness

Throughout the year, we have organised events to share our responsible practices with the public, particularly regarding the use of natural products and sustainable resource management. These events help to raise awareness and create a direct link between golf and its community.

These 2025 initiatives illustrate our desire to combine golf performance, respect for the environment and education. We are already looking ahead to 2026, with even more ambitious projects to consolidate our Gold Label application and continue to make Golf de Servanes a model of sustainable golf.
